My name is Donna Walker and I am a student, library worker, and photographer from Northeast TN.
I got my bachelor’s from King University in Bristol in 2024 in History/Political Science with a minor in Digital Media Art and Design. I am currently working on my masters at the University of Tennessee Knoxville in Information Sciences with a certificate in Research Data Management.
One of my favorite projects is Bristol Rhythm and Roots! I have photographed it for the past 2 years and have volunteered with the festival for almost a decade.
My special interests and research topics include local history, archives, museums, and anything cultural history. My focus in my undergraduate program was US History with a special focus in the Cold War. Now in my master’s program, I focus a lot on data, metadata, archives, and cataloging. I recently started working on my thesis, which focuses on small and local archives and user experience.
